Znači sada
Tamás Ambrits |
reči su došle i otišle
ja sedim bolestan.
telefon zvoni, mačke spavaju.
Linda usisiva.
ja čekam na život,
čekam na smrt.
voleo bih da mogu izjaviti nešto hrabro.
to je prljavi trik,
ali stablo napolju to ne zna:
posmatram ga kako se njiše na vetru
obasjano poslepodnevnim suncem.
nemam više ništa reći.
sad samo čekam.
svako se s time suočava sam.
oh, nekad sam bio mlad,
oh, nekad sam bio neverovatno
mlad!
________________
the words have come and gone,
I sit ill.
the phone rings, the cats sleep.
Linda vacuums.
I am waiting to live,
waiting to die.
I wish I could ring in some bravery.
it's a lousy fix
but the tree outside doesn't know:
I watch it moving with the wind
in the late afternoon sun.
there's nothing to declare here,
just a waiting.
each faces it alone.
Oh, I was once young,
Oh, I was once unbelievably
young!
the words have come and gone,
I sit ill.
the phone rings, the cats sleep.
Linda vacuums.
I am waiting to live,
waiting to die.
I wish I could ring in some bravery.
it's a lousy fix
but the tree outside doesn't know:
I watch it moving with the wind
in the late afternoon sun.
there's nothing to declare here,
just a waiting.
each faces it alone.
Oh, I was once young,
Oh, I was once unbelievably
young!
Poslednje reči koje je Bukovski zabeležio na svom kompjuteru, jedva nekih desetak dana pre smrti, i pre poslednjeg odlaska u bolnicu gde je i umro.
